Why Are Architects Choosing Mitsubishi Electric For Retail Retrofits?

In this application we explore an installation of modern Mitsubishi Electric HVAC technology into the historic 130-year old Printworks building in Belfast Northern Ireland, bringing modern comfort and efficiency to the heritage space. This is a remarkable project where our trusted Diamond Quality Partner, Air Cool Engineering, brought new life to a very old, heritage-style building by installing a Mitsubishi Electric VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system, proving that energy-efficient climate control and architectural preservation can go hand in hand. The key? Striking the right balance between modern comfort and preserving the aesthetic integrity of a heritage site. Originally constructed in 1890, the historic Printworks Building has been transformed into a state-of-the-art office and retail space, without losing its character. With high-efficiency Mitsubishi Electric MVHR and air conditioning systems, it now matches the performance of any new-build office. How Mitsubishi Electric Is Helping Applegreen's Net Zero Targets

At Applegreen Dunshaughlin, comfort, efficiency and sustainability come together in one of Ireland’s next generation retail travel hubs. Designed to be fully electric from day one, the site required an HVACR solution capable of delivering reliable performance across high bay retail space, busy food outlets and back of house areas all while supporting Applegreen’s long term sustainability goals. Here, Applegreens Matthew King speaks briefly on how they are chasing LEED Silver Status for the Dunshaughlin site and how Mitsubishi Electric and our Diamond Quality Partner, Anglo Irish Refrigeration, help achieve this through delivering low GWP HVAC and CO₂ refrigeration solutions. The result of which is a controlled, energy efficient environment that’s already setting the benchmark for future Applegreen locations.
